Overview
Engage is a cloud-based platform that supports secure collaboration during mergers and acquisitions, investment rounds, IPOs and governance activity. Investment firms, corporate finance teams and executive leadership groups use it to manage virtual data rooms, investor communications and governance workflows through a modern web application, accessible securely from anywhere.
The challenge
Organisations handling confidential transaction data face a consistent set of problems: keeping highly sensitive documents secure, giving investors and stakeholders a professional experience, running governance and compliance processes efficiently, and scaling collaboration tools as the business grows. Legacy file-sharing platforms rarely hold up to all four at once.
Engage also needed to keep scaling: growing customer adoption and rising data volumes had to be met without any drop in performance, security or availability, including during the highest-demand periods of a live transaction.
The solution
transparently.tech designed and delivered Engage as a secure, multi-tenant SaaS platform built for high-trust business interactions, with branded client portals so organisations can present a professional, trusted experience to investors and board members from day one.
Underneath, the platform runs on a fully serverless Microsoft Azure architecture, scaling automatically as demand and data volumes increase, and a messaging-driven infrastructure that keeps services communicating reliably under load. The front end is a modern React application, built with a strong emphasis on reducing onboarding friction and making governance workflows and documents easy to find.
Security and compliance were designed in from the start: role-based access controls, encrypted data handling, audit visibility and controlled document workflows, GDPR-aligned and delivered under transparently.tech’s ISO 27001 certification.
